The Claypool Lennon Delirium is an experimental supergroup formed in 2015 by Primus’s bass virtuoso Les Claypool and John Lennon’s musical heir Sean Lennon. The duo came together while Claypool toured in support of Primus’s “Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger,” when Lennon was invited to the stage to jam with the band. Satisfied with the result of the jam, Claypool had Lennon as a guest on his Sonoma home studio, and crafted a debut single titled “Cricket and the Genie" in 2016. It wasn’t long before “Monolith of Phobos,” the duo’s debut long-player, went out. The band then followed up with the EP “Lime and Limpid Green” later that year. In 2019, Claypool and Lennon returned to the studio to release their project’s sophomore effort titled “South of Reality.”
