The Cranberries are an Irish alternative rock band which came along in 1990, just in time to define what alternative rock in the 1990s would sound like, and have a devoted fan base bordering on the obsessive to this day. After the tragic and unexpected death of iconic lead singer Dolores O’Riordan, the band is staggering, but currently plans to carry on, releasing a 25th anniversary remaster of their debut album “Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We,” with bonus material.
The Cranberries have sold over 40 million albums worldwide, with their debut alone selling 5 million in the US and premiering at #1 on UK album charts. Led by the haunting, ethereal voice of O’Riordan, their singles “Linger,” “Dreams,” and “Zombie” were worldwide hits that continue to have heavy radio play to this day. The band also won an MTV Europe Music Award in 1995 for “Best Song,” and numerous other awards and nominations.
