The Districts Bio

The Districts is an American band that was formed in 2009 in Lititz, Pennsylvania, United States. The band is a four-man band and was formed by Rob Grote (guitar, vocals), Mark Larson (guitar, violin), Connor Jacobus (bass), and Braden Lawrence (percussion). The band was formed when the members were still in high school.

The band dropped their debut EP Kitchen Songs in 2011. The EP was closely followed by their debut album Telephone in 2012. Late the same year, they dropped their sophomore EP While You Were in Honesdale which helped further propel the band’s touring efforts. The band then signed to Fat Possum in 2013 who issued their third self-titled EP in January 2014. Their sophomore album A Flourish and a Spoil appeared in 2015.

The band returned in August 2017 and issued Popular Manipulations, which was partly self-recorded and also featured more production work from Congleton. Their fourth album You Know I'm Not Going Anywhere dropped in 2020.
