The Gaslight Anthem Bio
The American rock band The Gaslight Anthem was formed in 2006 in New Brunswick, New Jersey. In May 2007, they released their debut album entitled Sink or Swim, which was positively received by music critics. August the following year, they released their second full-length album entitled The ‘59 Sound. The said album was voted as the number 1 album of 2008 in eMusic. That year, they were awarded the Best International Newcomer in the Kerrang! Awards. Their third effort, American Slang, was released in 2010, and in 2012, Handwritten was released. Handwritten reached number 3 in the US albums chart. In 2014, they released Get Hurt and it reached number 4 on the same chart. Currently, the band consists of Brian Fallon on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Alex Rosamilia on lead guitar and backing vocals, Alex Levine on bass guitar and backing vocals, and Benny Horowitz on drums and percussion.
