The High Kings is an Irish band that was formed in 2008 in Dublin, Ireland. The members of the all-male band include Finbarr Clancy (born in Carrick-an-Suir, County Tipperary), Martin Furey (born in Dunmore East, County Waterford), Brian Dunphy (born in Dublin), and Darren Holden (born in County Kilkenny).
The group formed when David Kavanagh noticed a gap in the market for a band specializing in native Irish music. The group dropped their debut full-length The High Kings in 2008 which sold well in the US peaking at #150 on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart and #2 on the world music albums chart. Their other popular albums include 2010’s Memory Lane, 2013’s Friends for Life, and Grace & Glory that appeared in 2016. They also released the hit compilation Music Week Presents… Irish Talent in 2010. The singles All Around the World (Radio Remix) and Christmas the Way I Remember appeared in 2014 and 2019 respectively.
