The Hoosiers are an English pop-rock band formed in 2003 in Reading, England. The group consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Irwin Sparkes, drummer and backing vocalist Alan Sharland, and bassist and keyboardist Sam Swallow.
The band gained mainstream success with their debut album The Trick to Life in 2007, which spawned hit singles such as Worried About Ray and Goodbye Mr A. The album went double platinum in the UK and was nominated for the Mercury Prize. Throughout their career, The Hoosiers have toured extensively, playing shows and festivals across the UK, Europe, and Asia. They have also collaborated with various artists, including Mark Ronson and Dizzee Rascal.
