The Kid Mero Bio

The Kid Mero is a Dominican- American writer, voice actor, music blogger, and comedian. He was born Joel Martinez on the 15th of May, 1983 in the Bronx, New York City, U.S., in a family of Dominican descendent. He started writing for Vice’s platform “Noisey”, which specializes in music, in 2012. Overall, he wrote 69 articles – a majority of them being album reviews – for Noisey between 2012 and 2014, when he joined the cast of “Guy Code”, an MTV reality show created by Ryan Ling, on its fifth season. He also hosted a podcast during the years 2013-2014, titled “Desus vs. Mero”, alongside Desus Nice, his creative partner. On 2016, Viceland presented “Desus & Mero”, a show hosted by the Bronx Duo. He has also participated on “Vampires vs. the Bronx”. He also played on the series “Neo Yokio”.
