The Longest Johns Bio

The Longest Johns is a British folk band that was formed in 2012 in Bristol, England, and consists of Andy Yates, Dave Robinson, Jonathan “JD” Darley, and Robbie Sattin. They started to gain popularity due to their renditions of famous 1800s folk songs. All their work is self-produced. Their debut EP was titled 'Bones in the Ocean' and was released in 2013.

Their first full-length album was released in 2016 and it was called 'Written in Salt', which was followed by 'Between Wind and Water' in 2018. Their third album saw the light in 2020 and was called 'Cures What Ails Ya'. In 2021, they released two albums, 'Land Shanties' and a collaboration with artist Lucy Humphris titled 'Commodores 1864'. Among their most popular songs we can find “Wellerman”, “Bones in the Ocean” and “Santiana”.
