The Lox Bio
The Lox is an American hip hop band founded in 1994 in Yonkers, New York. Formerly known as D-Block, the band is composed by five native New York MCs. The name of the band comes from L. O. X. from the warlox acronym for “Living Off Experience”. The group consists of Jayson Phillips, also known as Jadakiss, Shawn Jacobs also known as Sheek Louch, and David Styles also known as Styles P. The group began to gain attention for having an aggressive lyrical style and urban sound. They released their debut album “Money, Power and Respect”. Their second studio album was “We Are the Streets”, released in 2000. On december 18, 2013, the group released an EP titled “The Trinity”, and in 2014, Lox announced a world concert tour also titled “The Trinity”. On March 16, 2014, Lox released the music video for “Faded” from his EP “Trinity” and that same year, the music video for “New York” was released. Their third studio album was “Filthy America… It’s Beautiful”, it was released on December 16, 2016 by D-Block Records and Roc Nation and was the first in 16 years.
