The Mahones Bio

The Mahones are a Canadian Irish punk band that Finny McConnell, a Dublin native, founded in Kingston, Ontario, in 1990. After receiving encouraging feedback, McConnell made the decision to dedicate his time to the band, and since then The Mahones have so far released thirteen albums, with Love, Death & Redemption being the most recent. Several significant films have featured music by The Mahones. Additionally, they collaborated on writing and recording the soundtrack for the 1996 movie “Celtic Pride.” In the 1998 movie “Dog Park,” their song "100 Bucks" was used. The climactic final fight scene of the 2010 movie “The Fighter” featured their song "Paint The Town Red 2010." Moreover, the 2011 movie “Irvine Welsh's Ecstasy” features their song "A Little Bit of Love”.
