The Music Bio

The Music is a music group from Kippax, Leeds. Formed in 1999, its members include lead vocalist/guitarist Robert Harvey, guitarist Adam Nutter, bassist Stuart Coleman, and drummer Phil Jordan. The band is widely known for its self-titled album, which was released in 2002. In 2001, they released the song “Take the Long Road and Walk It” as a demo. The song was later released by the Fierce Panda record label. At the time, many described them as one of the best bands in the UK.

They later signed with Hut Records and went on to release their debut EP, “You Might as Well Try to Fuck Me” under the label. Their self-titled EP reached #4 in the UK album charts. In 2004, they released their sophomore album “Welcome to the North”, followed by the single “Freedom Fighters”. In August of 2005, they played at the V Festival. They went on to release the album “Strength in Numbers” in June 2008.
