The Neighbourhood Bio

The Neighbourhood is an alternative rock and dark pop band formed in 2011 in Newbury Park, California, United States. It consists of Jesse Rutherford (vocals), Zach Abels (guitar), Jeremy Freedman (guitar), Brandon Fried (drums), and Mikey Margott (bass). Their debut EP “Im Sorry…” featured two singles that made it into Billboard’s Top Alternative chart, namely “Female Robbery” and “Sweater Weather”, and also caught the attention of DJ Zane from BBC Radio 1. Their first full-length album “I Love You” made it into Billboard’s top 200 in 2013. That same year, they made appearances as musical guests in comedy shows Jimmy Kimmel! And Late Show with David Letterman. A second LP called “Wiped Out!” went out in 2015 and was produced by Justyn Pilbrow and topped Billboard's Top Alternative Album chart. The band would move on to release two more full-length albums between 2016 and 2020.
