The New Pornographers is a group currently made up of Dan Bejar, Neko Case, Kathryn Calder, John Collins, Todd Fancey, Carl Newman, Joe Seiders, and Blaine Thurier. The band was formed in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in 1996.
The group released their first album, Mass Romantic, in 2000. Their sophomore effort, Electric Version, released in 2003 made it to the Billboard Top 200, peaking at No. 196. Their third album in 2005, Twin Cinema, charted in Billboard 200 at No. 44. Their fourth album, Challengers charted both in the US at No. 34 and the UK charts at No. 156.
Together, which was released in 2010, made it to Billboard Top 200 at No. 18, the Canadian charts at No. 14 and the UK charts at No. 168. The band’s other albums are Brill Bruisers and Whiteout Conditions.
