The Oak Ridge Boys Bio

The Oak Ridge Boys, sometimes referred to as the Oaks, are an American country and gospel vocal quartet. Founded in Oak Ridge Tennessee in the 1940’s the band currently consists of Joe Bonsall as a tenor, Duane Allen as lead singer, William Lee Golden as a baritone and Richard Sterban as a bass voice. Releasing their debut self titled album in 1958, over the years the band has created over thirty studio albums.

The quartet’s most recent music, Rock of Ages, Hymns and Gospel Favourites and 17th Avenue Revival, have both been incredible successes, with the band being known for such hits as Y’all Come Back Saloon, Elvira, American Made, bobby Sue and many, many more. Winning multiple awards over the years, the group has been inducted into both the Country and Gospel Music halls of Fame.
