The Overtones is an English group consisting of Mark Franks, who is a former Pet Shop Boys dancer from Manchester; Lachie Chapman who is from Sydney; and Mike Crawshaw, an ex-model from Bristol; as well as Darren Everest, who is from Essex; and Timmy Matley, a former star of musical ‘Fame’.
They were discovered by a talent scout who invited them to audition for Warner Music executives. Here, they earned a five-album deal. After the Overtones supported Matt Goss, they debuted their first album, “Good Ol’ Fashioned Love”. It included their “Gambling Man,” which was released in 2010.
In 2012 they came back with their second album, called “Higher”. “Sweet Soul Music”, their fourth album on the UK Top Ten charts was released in 2015. Their LP “Ol’ Fashioned Christmas” came out that same year. In 2020, the group is touring.
