The Paper Kites Bio
The Paper Kites are an Australian indie rock-folk band. The band consists of Sam Bentley, Christina Lacy, Dave Powys, Josh Bentley, and Sam Rasmussen and it was formed in 2010 in Melbourne, Australia. They released their first EP titled “Woodland” in 2011 which earned them recognition in the Australian music scene. In 2012 they toured across Australia and they released their second EP titled “Young North”. In 2013 they released their first full-length album produced by Wayne Connolly and titled “States”. The same year, the band performed for the first time in the U.S. opening for the band City and Colour on a mini-tour across the country. The Paper Kites released their second album titled “Twelvefour” in 2015. In 2018, the band released two new albums “On the Train Ride Home” and “On the Corner Where You Live”. The last album was nominated for Best Adult Contemporary Album at the ARIA Music Awards of 2019.
