The Presets Bio
The Presets are an Australian electronic music duo from Sydney, New South Wales. The duo consists of Julian Hamilton who provides the vocals as well as the keyboards, and Kim Moyes who plays the drums as well as the keyboards. They started playing together in 2003, and soon after they signed to Modular Records. They released two EPs before their debut album titled “Beams” which was released in 2005. Their first album reached number 55 in the Australian Official Charts of that year and it was certified Gold by the ARIA. They went on tour with Daft Punk during two years and in 2008 they released their second album titled “Apocalypso” which debuted at number one on the ARIA Albums Chart, besides winning six awards at the 2008 ARIA Awards, including Album of the Year. In 2012, they released a third album titled “Pacifica” which also got certified Gold by the ARIA. The prolific duo has also remixed tracks for other artists including Kings of Leon, Silverchair and Lenny Kravitz.
