The Pussycat Dolls is an American girl group formed in 2003 in Los Angeles, California. It originally consisted of Nicole Scherzinger, Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Melody Thornton, and Kimberly Wyatt. The group started as a burlesque show group founded by choreographer Robin Antin in the 90s, which became a popular entertainment for celebrities in the L.A. club scene. During this phase, they shared the stage with big pop stars like Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears. The Pussycat Dolls got their big break with an appearance in the 2003 film “Charlie’s Angels”, and made their debut with the 2005 single “Don’t Cha”, featuring Busta Rhymes. Shortly after, the ensemble released their first LP “PCD”, and reached the 5th spot in Billboard’s 200; it also won a Grammy Award. In 2008 the band released “Doll Domination” and toured the world. The Pussycat Dolls disbanded in 2010 but reunited in 2019 for another tour and the release of a new single.
