The Raven Age is an English heavy metal group, which was founded in 2009, in London, United Kingdom. It was formed by guitarists Dan Wright and George Harris, who is the son of Iron Maiden’s bassist Steve Harris. The Tower of London's ravens are the source of the name, and because they ate carrion and blood, ravens were historically attracted to the tower. The five-piece band had a phenomenal year in 2016, touring six continents with metal heavyweights Iron Maiden, gaining thousands of new fans and proving their mettle on one of the most difficult support tours in history. Their self-titled EP quickly rose to the top of Amazon's "Hot New Releases" chart, and reached position 16 in the list of the top 100 rock and metal best sellers. Also, the band gained 500,000 Spotify followers in 2016, and their song "Angel in Disgrace" reached number three on the Australian iTunes metal chart.
