The Rocket Summer is the solo project of singer, composer, and record producer Bryce Avary, who was born on December 31, 1982, in Forth Worth, Dallas, Texas. It has gained enormous popularity for its upbeat emo-pop music. He began playing the guitar at the age of 12, and was influenced by bands like Pavement, Weezer, and Radiohead. In his teen years, he joined an indie/punk band. After leaving high school, he began to achieve recognition for his acoustic performances and sound. Beginning in the early 2000s, The Rocket Summer produced a number of well-received albums, including Calendar Days in 2003; Of Men And Angels, which peaked at number forty on the Billboard 200 chart in 2010, and Life Will Write The Words, which debuted at number 58 on the Billboard Top 200 in 2012.
