The Rubens Bio

The Rubens are an Australian alternative rock from Menangle, New South Wales, Australia. The band formed in 2011 and comprises Sam Margin, Elliott Margin, Izaac Margin, Scott Baldwin and William Zeglis. In 2011 they released their debut single titled “Lay It Down”, which made it to the Triple J Hottest 100. Their self titled debut album was released in 2012 and earned the band local success, reaching number 3 on the ARIA Charts. In 2015, they released their second album titled “Hoops”, which included two hits “Hallelujah” and “Hoops”. In 2018, The Rubens released their third studio album titled “Lo La Ru” which also made it to the ARIA chart, reaching top 5. The band toured that same year opening for Pink in her Australia tour. In 2019 they won the award Rock Work of the Year for the song “Never Ever” alongside Sarah Aarons.
