The Slow Readers Club Bio

The Slow Readers Club is an English rock band. The band was formed in 2009, in Manchester and it is composed of Aaron Starkie, Kurtis Starkie, James Ryan and David Whitworth. The band evolved from earlier band Omerta. The Slow Readers Club released their self titled debut album in 2011, featuring some Omerta songs and new singles like “Feet on Fire”, “Sirens” and “Block the Sun”. In 2013, they released a single titled “Forever in Your Debt”. They started gaining local recognition and they played along bands like Catfish and the Bottlemen. In 2015 they released their second album titled “Cavalcade”, which peaked at number 1 in Manchester blog’s Even The Stars’ album of the year 2015 poll. In 2018 they released their third studio album titled “Build a Tower”, which made it to the UK Top 40.
