The Strumbellas Bio
Coming from Lindsay, Ontario, Canada, The Strumbellas was formed in 2008. They are known to blend folk, alt-country, pop, and indie rock music. The band’s founding members are Simon Ward, David Ritter, Jon Hembrey, Darryl James, Isabel Ritchie, and Jeremy Drury. Their debut EP was released in 2009.
After a series of gigs and high-profile shows, Their first full-length “My Father and the Hunter” was released in 2013. It was nominated for a Juno award in the Roots & Traditional Album of the Year. Their second nomination was for their sophomore long player entitled “We Still Move on Dance Floors” which they took home winning.
