The Ting Tings Bio
Jukes De Martino and Katie White make up the indie pop duo The Ting Tings, which is based in England, and was founded in December 2007, at Salford, England's Islington Mill Artist Studios. They released their self-titled debut album in May 2008, and the British Phonographic Industry awarded it with a platinum certification. We Started Nothing peaked at number one in the UK Album Charts. Shut Up and Let Me Go by the duo peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart, and received a gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. They were also up for Best New Artist at the 2010 Grammy Awards. Moreover, the band went dormant for a few years before making a reappearance in 2018 with their single Blacklight.
