The Vandals Bio

The Vandals is a band formed in Huntington Beach, California in 1980. The punk rock band’s members are Joe Escalante, Dave Quackenbush, Warren Fitzgerald, and Josh Freese. The band is also known as Stevo’s New and Improved Vandals Anarchy Taco or S.N.I.V. The group released 12 albums which include When in Rome Do as the Vandals (1984), Slippery When Ill (1989), Fear of a Punk Planet (1991), Hitler Bad, Vandals Good (1998), and Shingo Japanese Remix Album (2005). The band’s debut EP Peace Thru Vandalism was released two years before their debut album. Aside from focusing on music, The Vandals also appeared on movies such as Dudes in 1987 and Suburbia in 1983. Their songs have also been made into movie soundtracks including in Run Ronnie Run in 2012 and Saving Silverman in 2001.
