The Very Best Bio
The Very Best is an electro-Afro-pop music act. It is comprised of three members namely, Esau Mwamwaya and Radioclit duo Johan Hugo and Etienne Tron. They started their trio back in 2008 after their free online mix tape. They made an unexpected global success.
Pitchfork, Radar, and Rolling Stone found their music pieces favourable. As their music is a mix of different genres such as pop, indoe, dance, and Afro-pop. This was thanks to Mwamwaya’s English, Chichewa, Swahili, and Portuguese background.
Their first album was entitled “Warm Heart of Africa”, an all original compilation with guest appearances of M.I.A. and Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig. Their latest project was with Mumford & Sons, Beatenberg, and Baaba Maal, and is entitled “Johannesburg” in June 2016.
