The Voidz is an American rock band that was formed in 2013, formerly known as Julian Casablancas + The Voidz. The band consists of Julian Casablancas on vocals, Jeramy "Beardo" Gritter and Amir Yaghmai on guitar, Jacob "Jake" Bercovici on bass, Alex Carapetis on drums, and Jeff Kite on keyboards. The band's music is known for its experimental and eclectic nature, incorporating elements of punk, new wave, and electronic music into their sound.
Their debut album Tyranny was released in 2014, followed by Virtue in 2018, both to critical acclaim. Their discography now includes the studio albums Virtue and Alien Crime Syndicate. Tyranny received critical acclaim and was named one of the best albums of 2014 by numerous publications. Its hit singles include Human Sadness, Where No Eagles Fly, and Take Me in Your Army. Virtue featured the hit singles QYURRYUS and Leave It in My Dreams.
The Voidz have toured extensively, both in the United States and internationally, performing at major festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Glastonbury. They have received recognition for their work, including a nomination for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards for Virtue.
