The Wailin’ Jennys are a Canadian country music trio created in 2002. Currently consisting of members Ruth Moody, an Australian born soprano, Nicky Mehta, a mezzo singer hailing from Canada, and Heather Masse an alto singer hailing from the United States. Forming by accident when the singers were brought together for a performance, their first album 40 Days was released in 2004 to acclaim.
With five albums released thus far, the band has consistently charted high in the US charts. Their latest albums include Bright Morning Stars and Fifteen, an album commemorating the trios fifteen years of making music. Some of their hit songs include Weary Blues from Waitin’, Last Goodbye, One Voice, and Prairie Town to name a few.
