The Word Alive Bio

The World Alive is an American metalcore band formed in 2008 in Phoenix, Arizona led by Tyler Smith, who has recruited several musicians throughout the band’s career. In 2009 the band released their debut Empire, which reached the 15th spot on the Top Heatseekers chart. A second full-length album called Deceiver was released in 2010 and procured the 15th place on Independent Albums and the 97th on the Billboard 200. In 2011 the third album Life Cycles was released through Fearless Records with the participation of drummer Matt Horn. For their fourth release Dark Matter (2016) the band toured the United States with Fit For A King and Out Came the Wolves. Two more albums followed: Violent Noise in 2018 and Monomania in 2020.
