The XX are a British indie pop band formed in London in 2005 by Romy Madley Croft, Oliver Sim, Jamie Smith and Baria Qureshi. The band’s debut album “XX” was recorded by themselves in 2009 and initially released by Young Turks in the UK with a great acceptance from the public, for which it reached several popularity charts in England and it peaked at number one on The Guardian’s chart, second on New Musical Express, and third on Rolling Stones. The music from that album was also used in television, cinema, series and international events such as the 2010 Winter Olympics or the Nokia N9 advertising campaign. The band played at the biggest festivals, like Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Coachella or Sasquatch, among others. In 2017, they released their second album “I see you”.
