The Zombies Bio

The Zombies is a rock band formed in 1961 in St. Albans, England by Rod Argent (keyboards, vocals) and Colin Blunstone (vocals). The group is characterized as part of the British rock invasion along with The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. The #2 hit single “She’s Not There” spearheaded them into fame in 1962. A string of other early ‘1960s single releases was collected as a debut LP under the name “Begin Here” in 1965. Aided by blues musician Al Kooper, the group recorded a second effort for CBS in 1967. This second album was called Odessey and Oracle and went out after The Zombies had split up in 1968. Blunstone and Argent, however, reunited in 2003 toured and produced the comeback album “Out of the Shadows” and a number of live shows including a re-visit on Odessey and Oracle with the original ‘60s lineup.
