Theo James was born on December 16, 1984 in Oxford, England. He began acting while in college, training at a theatre school alongside his studies. His success in this school allowed him to get his first role in TV show A Passionate Woman (2010). This show allowed James to show off his acting skills, and he has not been short of acting work since. He was then cast in Downtown Abbey, Bedlam, and John Braine’s Room at the Top in the two years that followed.
His success in TV shows continued until 2014, when he got the biggest break of his career and was cast as the male lead in film Divergent (2014). He also played the same character later in The Divergent Series: Insurgent (2015) and The Divergent Series: Allegiant (2016). James won ‘Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Actor: Action’ (2014), ‘People’s Choice Award for Favourite Movie Duo’ (2015), for his work on ‘Divergent’, and ‘Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Liplock’ (2015) for his work on ‘The Divergent Series: Insurgent’.
