These New Puritans Bio

These New Puritans is a four-piece band, which was established in 2006, in Southend-on-Sea, England, United Kingdom. Jack Barnett, his identical twin George Barnett, Thomas Hein, and Sophie Sleigh-Johnson make up the group. The sound of these New Puritans is challenging to define as they use a wide range of instruments and sounds, from bassoons to taiko drums. The band draws inspiration from hip-hop, synth pop, alternative rock, and classical music equally, and has received high levels of critical acclaim in the early stages of their career. They recorded two albums, Beat Pyramid and Hidden, which were both released in January, 2010. Moreover, Hedi Slimane hired These New Puritans to create the music for the Dior Homme runway show, in 2007.
