Third Day Bio

Third Day is a Christian Rock band formed in 1991 in Marietta, Georgia by vocalist Mac Powell, guitarist Mark Lee, bassist Tai Anderson, and drummer David Carr. After their 1996 self-titled release, a 1998 album by the name Time was nominated to a Grammy and won the Dove Award. In 2003, full-length Offerings II: All I Have to Give was nominated to Favorite Contemporary Inspirational Artist by the American Music Awards. A year later in 2004, they appeared in the soundtrack for Mel Gibson’s film The Passion of the Christ. 2005’s LP Wherever You Are reached the 8th spot at the Billboard 200. The album Revelation featured production by Howard Benson and appearances by Chris Daughtry and other musicians. By the time the band announced its breakup in 2018, they had recorded 14 studio albums and 3 live albums.
