Tight Fit Bio
Tight Fit is a new wave band which was formed in London, England in 1981. The current members of the group are Julie Harris, Steve Grant, and Denise Gyngell.
Tight Fit is the band behind the chart-topping cover “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” which climbed to the top spot in the UK charts in 1982.
In 1981, the band released the album Back to the Sixties under Jive Records. A single of the same name climbed to the No. 4 spot in the UK charts. A self-titled album followed the year after. The singles “Fantasy Island,” and “Secret Heart” also charted in 1982. The group went their separate ways in 1983 but they reunited to release a new album after more than 30 years. In 2016, the album Together was released and this was followed by Rain in 2017.
