Tim Hicks is a popular Canadian singer and songwriter who was born on August 22nd, 1979 in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. Tim got his start by booking himself gigs, setting up his gear in a corner, and singing solo acoustic, without a band. "Meant I booked myself gigs nearly every night in towns within a six-hour radius, drove my minivan, set up the gear in the corner, and sang for my supper. Most of the gigs I did back then were solo acoustic gigs, no band".
Tim’s debut single Get By was released in December 2012 by RGK Entertainment Group, and earlier in the year he opened for Dallas Smith and Chad Brownlee on the Boys of Fall tour. Tim co-wrote Get By with Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley (of Florida Georgia Line), Neil Sanderson (of Three Days Grace), Casey Marshall and Shawn Hamm. The following year, the song made the Canadian Hot 100 and Tim also released his debut album Throwdown in August, 2013 which rose to #16 on the Canadian music charts.
