Tina Turner was born Anna Mae Bullock on November 26, 1939 in Nutbush, Tennessee. She is a legendary singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, and author. She started out in a Duo with Ike Turner. They had several hits including “Tra La La La La.,” “A Fool in Love,” “Poor Fool,” “River Deep – Mountain High,” “Proud Mary,” and “Nutbush City Limits.” She moved on to creating solo songs including smash hits like “What’s Love Got to Do With It,” “Private Dancer” and “Better be Good to Me.” She has won over 70 Awards including 3 American Music Awards, Cyprus Music Award, Essence Award, 11 Grammy Awards, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Kennedy Center Honors and many more. She has been in various movies and TV series from 1970 to today. She has made appearances in Gimme Shelter (1970), Taking Off (1971), John Denver and the Ladies (1979), Last Action Hero (1993) and many more.
