Tindersticks Bio
Coming from Nottingham, England, Tindersticks was formed in 1992. They were among the distinctive acts of British music during the ‘90s. Members Stuart Staples, David Boulter, and Dickon Hinchcliffe originally found the band. Later, they were joined by Neil Fraser, Mark Colwill, and Al Macaulay. They released their first single “Patchwork” in 1992.
In 1993, a follow-up entitled “Marbles” was released together with “A Marriage Made in Heaven” in collaboration with Niki Sin. Tindersticks’ EP debuted in 1993 receiving great reviews from the British press. They were named Album of the Year by Melody Maker. Their untitled second album was released in 1995.
