Tippi Hedren born Nathalie Kay Hedren on January the 19th 1930 in Minnesota and is an American actress, model and animal rights activist. Modelling since her twenties, and became an actor after being approached by Alfred Hitchcock to appear in two of his films, both to critical acclaim. These include The Birds in 1963, for which she won a Golden Glove and the drama Marnie in the next year.
Appearing in over eighty films and television shows, some of her best known film roles include Charlie Chaplin’s final feature, A Countess from Hong Kong, and Alexander in the satirical, Citizen Ruth, the actress has also appeared in many television films and has received a Star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame for her contribution to film.
