Todd Harry Rundgren was born on June 22, 1948, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Rundgren joined the band Woody’s Truck Stop, but he left the group and formed the band Nazz which released three albums. He released his solo album in 1970, Runt. He released the follow-up Runt. The Ballad of Todd Rundgren the next year.
Other albums he released include Something/Anything? (1972), A Wizard, A True Star (1973), Todd (1974), Initiation (1975), and Faithful, (1975). His song “Can We Still Be Friends” peaked at No. 36 of the charts. He also produced Bat Out of Hell by Meat Loaf which became a big success.
His most recent projects include the albums State (2013), Global (2015), Runddans (2015), where he worked with Lindstrom and Emil Nikolaisen, and White Knight (2017).
