Tom Cavanagh is a television, movie and theater actor, as well as a director. He was born on the 26th of October, 1963, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He started his acting career in Canadian television dramas like “Jake and the Kid”, in the 1990’s. He also performed on stage and in 1989, he made his Broadway debut in “Shenandoah”. In 2000, he starred in the comedy-drama series “Ed”. His work got highly praised and earned him a Golden Globe nomination, as well as a TV Guide Award. He starred in the thriller miniseries “The Capture Of The Green River Killer” in 2008, alongside Amy Davidson and Sharon Lawrence. Cavanagh directed three episodes of the CW series “The Flash”. He also co-starred on the series, portraying the enigmatic Dr. Wells. In 2007, he hosted the Smithsonian Network show “Stories from the Vaults”, where he got to show the viewers the technology and mastery behind art preservation at the Smithsonian Museum.
