Tom Daley Bio
Tom Daley was born on May 21, 1994 in Plymouth, England. He is a member of the Plymouth Diving club. His spouse is Dustin Lance Black, an American film screenwriter and producer. He started his diving career at 14, representing Great Britain at the 2008 summer Olympics. In 2009, he won the FINA World Championship at 15 and again in 2017.
He won the Herald’s award for Sports Personality of the Year in 2007and BBC Young Sports Personality of the year in 2010. He won two gold medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and was the Olympic bronze medalist in 2012. He won a second Olympic bronze medal in 2016 with Daniel Goodfellow in the men’s synchronized 10m platform. In 2017, he won World Silver with Grace Reid in the mixed 3m springboard synchronized event. He also won the LGBT awards for Independent Influencer in 2017.
He operates a YouTube channel to which he uploads regular vlogs and fitness videos. He received an honorary master in sports from the Plymouth Marjon University on October 27, 2017.
