Tom Keifer is a vocalist and guitarist best known as the founding frontman for the glam metal band Cinderella. Keifer grew up in a musical family and practiced from a young age. He was debating dropping out of school for a music career, so his mother had to bribe him by offering a Gibson Les Paul guitar if he graduated. Keifer graduated and spent time playing in bands such as Saints in Hell, Telapath, and Diamonds before founding Cinderella in 1982.
As the leader of Cinderella, Tom Keifer’s smoky blues voice led the band to charting hit singles throughout the 1980s and 1990s, including “Don’t Know What You Got (Till It’s Gone)” (1988, #12 Billboard Hot 100) and “Shelter Me” (1990, #36 Billboard Hot 100). Cinderella toured with the likes of Poison, Warrant, and Lynch Mob. Since Cinderella called it quits in the 2010s and Keifer since has a solo career, releasing a studio album “The Way Life Goes” (2017).
