Tommy Edison Bio

American YouTuber, film critic and radio presenter Tommy Edison was born on 17th July 1962 in Greenwich, Connecticut. He rose to fame because of his humorous take on his blindness. Before he became an internet sensation, he worked as a traffic reporter for Star 99.9 in Bridgeport. He relied on police scanners and from calls with his listeners. He began to review films because of his frustration with visual language used in them. This led to the channel Blind Film Critic with a friend, Ben Chruchill. The journey that started in 2011 led to reviews on the sound effects, script and music in the films. He started with a review of the film ‘Scream 4’. On the top of his list of favorites are the films ‘American Hustle’, ‘Clerks’, ‘Goodfellas’, and ‘Hugo’. His unique content earned him a feature on CNN and ‘The Howard Stern Show’. He runs a second channel named The Thomas Edison Experience where he discusses subjects like assistive technology, Braille, dreams and colors. His channels have a total of 97 million views.
