Anthony Patrick Hadley, better known as Tony Hadley, is a singer-songwriter born in Islington, London, England on June 2, 1960. In 1976, he co-founded the band Spandau Ballet with four other artists he knew from school. The group was able to garner immense success with hit songs True (1983), Gold (1983), and Through the Barricades (1986). After their disbandment in 1990, Hadley pursued a solo career. In 1992, he released his first solo effort entitled The State of Play. He went on to release four other albums: Tony Hadley (1997), Passing Strangers (2006), The Christmas Album (2015), and Talking to the Moon (2018). Talking to the Moon charted at number 4 on the UK Independent Albums chart, and at number 40 on the overall UK albums chart.
