Tony Hale Bio

Anthony Hale is an American actor, producer, and comedian born as Anthony Russell Hale on September 30th, 1970 in West Point, New York, USA. Hale earned praise for his role in the Fox comedy show “Arrested Development” as the neurotic Buster Bluth over 74 episodes. From 2012 until 2019, he starred on the HBO sitcom “Veep”, alongside Julia Louis-Dreyfus, for which he received the 2013 and 2015 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. Hale appeared in multiple films over the years, including “In My Sleep”, “The Heat” and “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip”. He has provided voice-work for “The Tale of Despereaux”, “The Angry Birds Movie”, “The Angry Birds Movie 2” and “Toy Story 4”. Hale also voices Archibald in the DreamWorks show, “Archibald's Next Big Thing”. In 2017 he won alongside the cast of “Brave New Jersey” the Screen Actors Guild Awards in the category of Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
