Born on October 9, 1953, as Anthony Marc Shalhoub. Now known as Tony Shalhoub, the actor was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin. At six years old, he was introduced to the world of theater, in a school production of The King and I. This inspired him to graduate from Green Bay East High, move on to the University of Southern Maine, and graduating with a Bachelor's degree in drama before moving on to the Yale School of Drama, where he left with a Fine Arts Master's degree.
Tony earned roles alongside Will Smith in the first and second installment of the Men in Black movies, but he would be best known for his role as detective Monk, in the hit TV show, Monk (2002) alongside Jason Gray-Stanford which earned him 4 Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, between 2003 and 2006.
