Tracie Thoms is an American stage, film and television actress born in Baltimore, United States on August 19, 1975 as Tracie Thoms Nicole. Thoms had her professional screen debut in 2002, with appearances in comedies and television series such as “As If” and “Porn n’ Chicken”. Her career breakthrough came with a recurring role in the FOX series “Wonderfalls” in 2004, which even though it was canceled, opened many doors to her. Since the following year Thoms, alongside Rosario Dawson, was one of the actresses who were added to the original cast of Broadway, from the musical “Rent”, for its film adaptation, in the role of Joanne Jefferson. Several years later she returned to the theater in the original Broadway cast of “Rent”, but this time she took the role of Fredi Walker. Thoms appeared in the 2006 movie “The Devil Wears Prada” as Lily.
