Travis Cave (better known by his stage moniker Trap Beckham) is an American rapper who was born on July 14, 1991, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, United States. Travis started writing music when he was 8 and recording before he turned 12 with a tape recorder gifted by his mother. His early influences were Michael Jackson and Prince.
In 2012 he released Top of the Line, a song that was on his mixtape 7.14.12 and featured Young Cash. Top of the Line and Ohh She Thick were two singles that made him famous, winning him a number of awards. He earned the Artist, Song, Mixtape, and Performer of the year every year between 2012 and 2015 from Duval Diamond Awards. Trap also earned the nickname The Golden Boy of the Hood. 7.14.12 was one of three mixtapes released on his birthday July 14th.
He signed with Def Jam Recording in 2016 and released Birthday Chick single. In 2017, he released his first EP titled, Life is Lit.
