Trevante Rhodes Bio
Trevante Rhodes is an American actor born in Ponchatoula, Louisiana on February 10, 1990. He is best known for his role as Chiron in the film Moonlight. After graduating from college, he moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue an acting career. Rhodes made his debut in film in 2014 in the film Open Windows and continued landing roles in the films The Night Is Young, Lady Luck, Shangri-La Suite, Moonlight, Burning Sands, Smartass, 12 Strong, The Predator, and Bird Box. In 2014 he made his debut on television in the show Gang Related and has since had roles in the shows If Loving You Is Wrong and Westworld. Throughout his career he has been nominated for several awards and in 2017 won a Black Reel Award for Outstanding Breakthrough Performance, Male for his role in the film Moonlight.
